Meet The Team

Qualified in 1981 as a Chartered Accountant aims to offer a “commercial” view to business. Is passionate about clients affairs and enjoys the challenge of improving their profits and saving them tax. Advice is both creative and practical and tailored to each clients needs. Believes that having robust and timely management accounts information enables clients to make informed decisions in the current economic climate. Attention to detail and a grasp of the larger issues ensure a good all round service is provided. Hobbies include driving an old Porsche Speedster and working in his garden at weekends.

Qualified in 1991 as a Chartered Accountant his training in a medium sized practice has been invaluable in servicing the clients of Williams & Co. Since becoming a partner in 1997 he has become a specialist in solicitors and other professional practices. Able to advise on both accounts and tax matters he is capable of offering a tax saving and compliance service to clients. Assisting clients with management accounts enables the opportunity to not only improve profitability but also mitigate tax liabilities. Paul has been at Williams & Co since 1992 and is well regarded by clients and the local business community.

Chris joined us in September 2013 and a qualified ACCA. His training was in general practice so he can turn his hand to most problems that clients throw at him, delivering accounting & auditing services. He has a wide variety of clients in his portfolio – and prepares monthly & quarterly management accounts, providing data on performance & profitability. Chris is our resident Xero expert – speak to him about transitioning onto Xero & using technology to streamline & improve your business processes.

Henry joined us in January 2015 and is a qualified ACA. His training was at RSM in the small business department and he has also spent 2 years in assurance and audit.  Henry produces regular management accounts for a number of clients to ensure they are fully up to day with the performance of their business and able to make informed decisions about their business.

James joined in April 2015 and during his time at WACO has passeed both ACCA and CTA. James prepares management accounts as well as being our in-house tax technical expert.

• Charlene joined us Dec-23 having previously worked for medium-sized practices.

Jennifer joined from another local small Practice in September 2019, and has now completed her ACCA exams. Jen prepares management accounts and year-end accounts.

Jen is currently on maternity leave.

Becca joined us in Dec-23 as a newly qualified ACA.

Conor joined WACO in January 2022 and is studying towards his ACCA. He graduated with an Accounting and Finance degree from the University of Essex in 2021. He has always enjoyed working with numbers, so it was inevitable that he would become an Accountant!

In his spare time Conor enjoys going to the gym and dog walks.

Having completed a placement year with us Ben returned Sep-23 to continue his ACCA trainee program. In his spare time he’s a keen squash player.

Sharmi joined us in Jul-22 having recently graduated with a First in Accounting and Finance at Middlesex University. She will be studying ACCA. Having grown up around her dad’s shop she has great commercial awareness so someone straight out of University.

Holly works 3 days a week supporting Gill with admin. She’s in Monday to Wednesday.

Gill is our receptionist, typist and works with all our admin team in making the office run smoothly. Please leave a message with her and you can be sure it will be passed on.

Maisie joined us in Jun-21 and assists Gill on Monday’s and Tuesday’s.

Alison is in charge of our payroll department and currently overseas 240+ payrolls for clients. Alison has been with us since 1995 and works Monday to Thursdays. Alison and her team have become proficient with the challenges of auto enrolment. If you require a payroll service or information regarding payroll, then please contact her.

Sam works with Alison and Christine in the payroll department. Sam has been with us since 2013 and has gained much experience in her time with us. Sam works full time and manages her own payrolls and also assists Alison and Christine.
